Delicious restaurant choices line the streets of the Hill, St. Louis' Italian district. There are bakeries, delis, grocery stores and restaurants in this historic neighborhood, but great Italian restaurants are scattered throughout the city. Whether working up an appetite for dinner at Tapawingo National Golf Club or coming into the city after hitting the greens at Annbriar Golf Course, golfers will not have to drive far for a great Italian meal.

Tony's

Tony's has been serving Italian cuisine with since 1946. The decor is elegant and the wine list is extensive. This restaurant is a St. Louis tradition and a popular stop for tourist and local alike. With dishes, such as ziti amatriciana, agnollotti with prosciutto, lobster albanello, there is more to choose from than can be eaten in one meal. Tony's is open for dinner every day but Sundays and holidays. Jackets for men are required and reservations are suggested.

Cunetto's House of Pasta

Cunetto House of Pasta is a family owned restaurant located on the Hill. Cunetto's opened its doors in 1974 and continues to serve up some of the best pasta in St. Louis. The menu is diverse and offers a taste of traditional Italian fare. It is closed on Sunday and offers lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Monday through Saturday.

Zia's

Zia's is another popular Italian restaurant located on the Hill. Blending Italian classics with St. Louis flair, the restaurant offers a comfortable family-friendly dining experience. Diners should try the toasted ravioli, a St. Louis original creation, veal piccata or capellini angelico. Zia's is opened for dinner and lunch Monday through Saturday. Reservations are only accepted for a party of six or more Monday through Friday. No reservations are required on Saturday.

Charlie Gitto's Downtown

Not far from Busch Stadium is Charlie Gitto's Pasta House. This casual dining restaurant is one of four different Charlie Gitto Family Restaurants in St. Louis. A family-friendly atmosphere serving up classic pizza and pasta dishes as well as delicious entrees, such as osso bucco and veal parmigiana. The two-story building offers plenty of dining space and outdoor dining is available. It is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday and reservations for parties over eight are recommended.
