Ponte Vedra Inn and Club
The Ponte Vedra Inn and Club is about five miles from Atlantic Beach in Ponte Vedra Beach. The historic resort, opened in 1928, is an elegant, yet casually sophisticated upscale resort that has received the coveted AAA Five-Diamond Award.
The oceanfront resort offers luxurious rooms and suites, 15 hydro tennis courts, four heated pools, four restaurants and lounges, 10 boutiques and shops, riding stables, a fitness center and spa. Guests can enjoy bicycling, boating, fishing, tennis, sailing, canoeing and golf. The resort offers two on-site 18-hole courses, the Ocean Course and the Lagoon Course. The Ocean Course, originally designed by Herbert Bertram Strong in 1928, was renovated by Robert Trent Jones in 1947 and Bobby Weed in 1998. The 6,574-yard, par-72 course has served as the site for the U.S. Open qualifying round five times and is sure to challenge golfers of all skill levels. The Lagoon Course was co-designed by Robert Trent Jones and Joe Lee. It was restored in 2007 by Bobby Weed and is a 6,022-yard, par-70 course.
