Resorts in Flagstaff

Resorts in Flagstaff
Flagstaff, Arizona, is home to only one public golf course. However, Flagstaff's proximity to Sedona means that there are several more public courses that are just a short drive away. Additionally, Flagstaff has a number of private courses, including Aspen Valley, Pine Canyons, Flagstaff Ranch and Forest Highlands. Flagstaff's proximity to golf, as well as to natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon, makes it an attractive destination for families looking to get away from it all.

Flagstaff Nordic Center

The Flagstaff Nordic Center offers the best in outdoor cross-country skiing as well as cabins and "gentle" roughing it. Visitors can rent equipment, take instruction in cross-country skiing, sled at the nearby Crowley Pit or stay in seclusion at one of the Flagstaff Nordic Center's two cabins or yurt-style tent. The Eco-Hideaway cabin is a fully self-contained, "off the grid" cabin with a wraparound porch, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, linens and a full bathroom. The Aspen Yurt is located along the Nordic ski trails in a meadow that is frequently visited by wildlife. A wood-burning stove provides heat for the yurt. There is electricity for lighting, but no outlets. Visitors should bring an electric lantern for backup, and there is no running water available. A third lodging option, the Ponderosa room, is located on the second level of the Flagstaff Nordic center.
