Night Clubs in Pensacola, Florida

Night Clubs in Pensacola, Florida
Pensacola, Florida, is a historic city known for its rich military history and sparkling white sand beaches. Vacationers will enjoy Pensacola's available attractions, water sports, fishing, sightseeing, and golf. The area is home to several courses, including the A.C. Read Golf Club, Marcus Point Golf Course and Club and Scenic Hills Country Club. After the sun goes down, however, visitors can enjoy Pensacola's nightclubs, restaurants and bars.

Seville Quarter

Seville Quarter is one of Pensacola's most popular evening hot spots. More than a simple nightclub, Seville Quarter is an entertainment and dining complex loaded with seven bars and two courtyards.

The flagship bar, Rosie O'Grady's, or Rosie's as the locals lovingly call it, was opened in 1967. The historic building that houses Rosie's was built in 1871 and features lavish woodwork and pressed tin ceilings. On most weekend evenings, Rosie's is packed with people who love to watch the famous Dueling Pianos show or simply enjoy the loud, rowdy atmosphere.

Directly across the hall, Lili Marlene's is modeled after a World War I aviator's pub, complete with large period airplanes dangling from the ceiling. North of Lili's, Fast Eddie's is a large pool room that features several Brunswick pool tables and video games. It also is home to the Pensacola Wall of Fame, featuring photos and memorabilia from Pensacola's famous athletes such as Emmitt Smith, Kenny Stabler and Roy Jones, Jr.

Apple Annie's is an expansive room with a bar and numerous tables. Frequently the host of concerts, Apple Annie's offers a spacious dance floor and outside courtyard with seating and a fountain. The Palace Oyster Bar, located next to Apple Annie's, is open for lunch and dinner. After hours it serves as a bar and meeting area for many Seville Quarter guests.

Phineas Phogg's, one of the most popular bars in the complex, is a two-story dance hall that features several bars and a disc jockey that spins high-energy dance music all night long. The End O' the Alley Bar is right where one might think, at the end of the long "alley" or hallway inside Seville Quarter. The open-air bar features indoor and outdoor seating in its courtyard, a covered stage for live music, lush foliage and beautiful ironwork.

The Fish House Deck Bar

During the day, Pensacola's Fish House restaurant serves up some of the best sushi and seafood in town. Known for its famous Grits a Ya Ya dish, the Fish House offers upscale dining overlooking Pensacola Bay. At night, however, The Fish House Deck Bar comes alive with those looking for a crowded nightclub atmosphere.

The 3,500-square-foot deck has its own bandstand, fire pit and bar. With live music nightly and Girls Night Out specials, the Deck Bar has become one of the city's premier night spots. Although plenty of seating is available, the Deck Bar is usually standing room only. Locals love the casual outdoor atmosphere, great drink prices and friendly service.

McGuire's Irish Pub

Pensacola natives and visitors alike flock to McGuire's Irish Pub. A combination restaurant and bar, McGuire's offers a festive atmosphere and is known for debauchery. An award-winning steakhouse, McGuire's is also a brewery with some of the best beer in town. In addition, it has an extensive wine list and is known for its signature Irish Wake, a potent alcoholic concoction sure to bring even the savviest drinker to his knees.

With live entertainment most nights, guests should be sure to sing along to McGuire's many theme songs. Those caught not singing or participating in the hand motions will be horribly embarrassed when the performer halts the show. Violators are lovingly harassed until they come to the stage and kiss either the giant moose head or the strategically placed nude artwork that hangs on the wall. In addition, guests are often made to perform hilarious antics on stage. Those who are easily humiliated should definitely avoid McGuire's.

When visiting the pub, be prepared for an hour or more wait for a table and standing room only in the bar. The popular spot has earned a dedicated following in Pensacola and is packed to capacity almost every night.
