One of the largest boating lakes in Arkansas, Beaver Lake boasts more than 450 miles of shoreline. One of a series of lakes created in northwestern Arkansas and southwestern Missouri as a flood-control measure along the White River, the lake is conveniently located close to several golf courses (at least nine public golf courses and more than 13 private courses) throughout the region. With a mild climate year-round, you can hit the links 365 days a year. While you're in the area, you'll need a play to store the clubs as well as lay your head. Luckily, Beaver Lake has several resorts that promise all of the comforts of home with the rustic outdoor appeal of a wilderness sanctuary, perfect for fishing, hiking, sightseeing, boating, and relaxing.
Ventris Trails End Resort

Each cabin is fully furnished and stocked with cookware, utensils, and bed/bath linens. Nearby golf courses include Big Sugar Creek in Pea Ridge, Ark., and the Prairie Creek Country Club in Rogers, Ark.
