Minot is a small city in North Dakota. It is home to the United States Air Force, Global Strike Command Base and Minot State University. Scandinavian ancestry has played a large part in the culture of Minot, and each year in October, Minot hosts the Norsk Festival, the largest celebration of Scandinavian heritage in North America. Nestled in the Mouse River Valley is the Souris Golf Course, a municipal, par-72, 18-hole course open from April through October. For junior golfers, try the Wee Links, a nine-hole course designed for the young player.
