Vince's Italian Restaurant
In the middle of downtown Burien is Vince's Italian Restaurant, an authentic Mediterranean restaurant that serves everything from pasta to tortellini to pizzas with hundreds of topping combinations available. Vince's offers pizzas with toppings ranging from the basic (pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese) to the unusual (salami and green olives), as of November 2009. Signature pizzas such as the Napoli Pizza (roasted red and yellow bell peppers, olive oil, garlic mozzarella and mushrooms) also delight customers.
Before going to Vince's Italian Restaurant, try visiting the Glen Acres Golf & Country Club in nearby Seattle. Less than five miles east of Burien, Glen Acres is a facility that boasts a nine-hole course that stretches more than 3,000 yards from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course rating is 34.7 and it has a slope rating of 127. Designed by George S. Merritt, the Glen Acres golf course opened in 1928. It is open to the public.

Bison Creek Pizza & Pub
Bison Creek Pizza & Pub, also in downtown Burien, is a cross between authentic Italian pizza and small-town European pubs that has served the Burien area since 1975. Everything is customizable at Bison Creek, which offers dozens of toppings that include such hard-to-find choices such as sunflower seeds and pesto. But where Bison Creek really outdoes itself is with the serving of nearly 100 selections of liquor, wine and beer. In November 2009, customers could find 15 beers on tap, nearly two dozen bottled beers, a full range of liquor options and several bottled wines available by the glass.

Pizza Gallery
Just north of downtown Burien is Pizza Gallery, one of the most unusual pizza restaurants in all of western Washington. Opening its doors in 1992, the Pizza Gallery offers such signature pizzas as the 5-Pound Masterpiece (pepperoni, ham, bacon, onions, black olives, tomatoes, pineapple and other toppings for a pizza that weighs 5 lbs.) and the chicken taco pizza (taco sauce, grilled chicken strips, onions, mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese). The restaurant also sells made-to-order calzones and sandwiches.
After a short lunch at Pizza Gallery, head to the West Seattle Golf Course, a facility that boasts a par-72, 18-hole course open to the public. The course stretches more than 6,600 yards from the longest tees. The course rating is 71.0 and it has a slope rating of 119. Designed by H. Chandler Egan, the West Seattle golf course opened in 1940.
