San Francisco Hotels on the BART Line

By Chris Moore

San Francisco Hotels on the BART Line
San Francisco's Bay Area Rapid Transit links the Bay Area cities together through rapid rail systems. Anyone staying downtown can use BART to conveniently reach destinations like the airports or McAfee Coliseum. Some golf courses, like the Pleasanton Golf Center and the Claremont Country Club in Piedmont, are near BART stops. All BART rail lines run through downtown San Francisco along Market Street, so Market Street hotels are among the best choices.

Hotel Whitcomb

The Whitcomb boutique hotel is located along the south end of Market Street across from the Orpheum Theater. The nearly 450 guest rooms, which can come with a king, queen or two double beds, include 12 parlor suites and the Presidential Suite with its own living room, dining room and wet bar. A Starbucks coffee shop, health club and Internet cafe are all on site, along with a shuttle to the San Francisco airport. The Market Street Grill offers steaks, seafood, pasta and Asian dishes.
