Chinatown Restaurant
The Chinatown Restaurant is located in one of Chinatown's landmark buildings. The restaurant opened in 1919 and has been serving both traditional Chinese cuisine and northern Chinese specialties ever since. The restaurant still looks the way it did when it first opened. It has served as a backdrop for television shows, and notable stars have dined there. The menu includes a choice of dim sum as well as beef, seafood, chicken, pork, duck and vegetable entrees and a selection of fried rice and noodles.

Far East Café
The Far East Café was built in 1908 after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. It is located across the street from St. Mary's Church, one of the few structures to survive the quake. The owners of the Far East Café want to create an experience that will take diners back in time. An enchanted dragon gateway in front of the entrance gives you the impression that you are stepping into a palace. The feeling is reinforced inside the restaurant, where chandeliers hang from raised ceilings, and the walls are adorned with painted murals and carved screens. There is even an emperor's throne to accent the establishment. Diners can order from the buffet, or from a menu that includes double boiled shark fin soup, prawns with honey walnut or filet of sole with spicy salt.
