Brookgreen Gardens
Brookgreen Gardens is a completely different world from the glitzy Myrtle Beach strip. Founded in 1831 by Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington, Brookgreen hosts majestic figurine sculptures, historical sites, zoo and aquarium. The main garden, shaped like a butterfly, serves as a natural museum for the art placed within. Educational and recreational programs run during all seasons, and guests can discover an 18th century rice plantation while walking along Lowcountry Trail.
