The Waipouli Beach Resort is located between Kapaa and Wailua, just a few minutes drive away from Lihue. According to the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook, the resort has a two-acre saline swimming pool that winds around the property like a river, as well as two water slides. In addition the resort has a health spa featuring products by Aveda and a fitness hut as well as an on-site restaurant. The Outrigger at Lae Nani is a Wailua resort, located close to Lihue. It is a small resort featuring just 84 rooms. Amongst the hotel's features are a lighted tennis court, a swimming pool and a protected beachfront swimming area which is excellent for snorkeling. Room amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, a balcony and daily maid service. Although there is no on-site dining, there are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is just a short drive away from the Kauai Lagoons Golf Club, home to one 18-hole golf course. Or for a slightly longer drive, guests could drive north to Princeville and play a round of golf at one of the two championship golf courses located at the Princeville at Hanalei Resort or the 9 hole Woods course also at the Princeville at Hanalei Resort.
