Offering free admission and open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the museum is host to an array of coastal artifacts from colonial seafaring times and the Creek and Choctaw Indian culture. The museum is also conveniently located near popular hiking trails such as the Catman Road Backcountry Trail. This trail is full of local folklore and legend as the area is thought to be inhabited by a half-cat, half-human creature known as the Catman.
