Most visitors to Chicago know about catching a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field and seeing Millennium Park. On a rainy day, tourists might head inside to see one of the city's world-class museums, such as the Art Institute of Chicago or the Field Museum. Those golfers looking for something a little different to do when not on the course, however, need to check out these lesser-known attractions, all of which are convenient to golf.
Music Box Theatre
Founded in 1929, the Music Box Theatre has shown art house films for the past two decades along with a few cult classics. The real star of the show though is the theater itself. In the main theater, a dark blue ceiling with twinkling stars and moving clouds along with the decorative plaster on the walls gives moviegoers the feel of watching a movie outside in an Italian courtyard. A much smaller and less dramatic theater was added in 1991. Golfers can easily catch a flick at the Music Box Theatre after a round of golf at the nearby Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course.

Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows
Golfers with kids will certainly want to visit Navy Pier since it houses a miniature golf course and the Chicago Children's Museum. While at Navy Pier, families looking to visit a slightly different kind of museum can check out the Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows, home to a permanent display of 150 stained glass windows. In addition to featuring windows by famous artists, such as Louis Comfort Tiffany, the museum also houses stained glass portraits of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Michael Jordan.

Tribune Tower
Designed by Raymond Hood, who later designed Rockefeller Center in New York, and John Howell, the Tribune Tower was completed in 1925. The neo-gothic building became a Chicago Landmark on February 1, 1989. Golfers visiting the Tribune Tower can also check out the rock collection incorporated into the outside walls of the tower at street level. The collection includes fragments from the Alamo and the Colosseum. The Tribune Tower is convenient to the miniature golf course at Navy Pier.
