Phoenix, Arizona, is the capital largest city (area and population) in the state. The Maryvale Municipal Golf Course is a public, 18-hole, par-72 course that opened in 1961. The total distance from the tees to the cups is 6,500 yards and the course has a rating of 69.8 and a slope rating of 115. This course was designed by William F. Bell and is constructed with some of the finest Bermuda grass and numerous sand bunkers throughout. There is a driving range, putting green, chipping area, golf pro (for lessons and pointers), restaurant, bar and rentals for both pull carts and gas carts as well as clubs on the premises.

Cave Creek Golf Course
The Cave Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole, par-72 championship course that opened in 1984 and was once a landfill that was remodeled. The golf course is 6,876 yards from the tees to the cups, has a course rating of 71.1 and has a slope rating of 122. Jack Snyder designed this course, which is made of Bermuda grass. It is home to several annual amateur tournaments each year. There is a driving range, golf pro and both golf carts and club rentals available on site.

Encanto 18 Golf Course
The Encanto 18 Golf Course is a public, 18-hole par 70 golf course which first opened in 1937 and is very flat throughout. The course has a total distance of 6, 386 yards from the tees to the holes, has a course rating of 69.0 and a slope rating of 111. The level fairways play well for golfers of all ages which make having a great round on this course simple. There are several palm and salt trees throughout this course which was designed by William P. Bell and is currently managed by Mike Swartz. There is a pro shop, many amateur tournaments and even youth golf classes available on the premises.
