Winter Park is a city located in Orange County, in central Florida. Winter Park is located directly north of Orlando, and is recognized as the first centrally planned community in Florida. Accommodations are sparse in Winter Park, however, hotels on the outskirts of town are plentiful. Winter Park is also home to Rollins College, Full Sail University, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of Art, and to the Winter Park Country Club and Winter Pines Golf Club. Both courses are public.

Thurston House
The Thurston House is a bed and breakfast located in Maitland, Florida. The hotel is five minutes from downtown Winter Park and five minutes from the Winter Park Country Club. Built in 1885 but thoroughly remodeled and modernized, the Thurston House is a unique way to relive the history of the area. The Thurston House is not recommended for small children, and pets are not allowed. Thurston House is a smoke-free property. Additionally, all rooms are on the second floor and have a private bath, queen-sized bed, individual air/heat control, desk, phone, complimentary wireless access, cable TV and a CD player. Each room is named after one of the previous owners of this lovely home.
