When you are in Tallahassee, Florida, for work or to relax on vacation you should consider eating a one of the popular steak houses in the area. Also, you should make sure that you make time to play at one of the area golf courses like the par-72 Capital City Country Club course and the par-35 Jake Gaither golf course. Other attractions in Tallahassee include Knott House Museum, Museum of Florida History and the Gulf Specimen Aquarium and Maine Laboratory.

Shula's 347 Steakhouse

This steakhouse is a part of the Hotel Duval and located in the lobby. The restaurant specializes in cut steaks using premium black angus beef as well as gourmet salads, seafood and burgers. Business attire, such as a suit and tie, is recommended, and the restaurant is open seven days a week for dinner only. The dinner menu includes the 8-oz. filet mignon, 14-oz. New York strip steak, 16-oz. cowboy steak and the 24-oz. porterhouse served with a choice of vegetable and a baked potato. The restaurant is within five miles of the Capital City Country Club golf course.

Torreya Grill

This steakhouse provides a welcoming atmosphere with mahogany-paneled dining rooms that have both tables and booths. There is also private room with seating for up to 25 people. Business attire, such as a suit and tie, is recommended. Steak entrees include top sirloin, New York strip steak, delmonico steak, filet mignon, beef tenderloin kabob, topped sirloin with grilled shrimp and the filet mignon with stuffed shrimp. Steaks are served with a choice of soup or a house salad and choice of starch and vegetable of the day. The restaurant is within five miles of the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course.

Ted's Montana Grill

This steakhouse provides a casual atmosphere with a large selection of center-cut steaks. Take out is available if you don't want to dine in, and there is also a bar area that serves drink specials throughout the week. Steak entrees on the menu include the 8-oz. tenderloin filet, 11-oz. Kansas City strip steak, 14-oz. delmonico rib eye and the 12-oz. and 16-oz. slow-cooked prime rib of beef. All steaks are brushed with a lemon butter and served with a choice of vegetable and potato. The restaurant is within 10 miles of the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course.
