Bayou Bob's Restaurant & Bar
When the theme of the restaurant is "Laizzez les bon temps rouler," which means "let the good times roll," you know you are in for a treat. After a day of golfing either at the downtown golf course of City Park or outside the city, famished golfers can stop by Bayou Bob's for delicious Southern dishes. Serving the Denver community since 1986, this restaurant features appetizers, such as fried pickles, stuffed mushrooms and the exotic item: deep fried alligator tail. Not too adventurous? It is recommended to stick with Southern favorites like fried catfish, country fried steak or bourbon chicken, just to name a few.

Gumbo's
This Louisiana-style café is on the 16th Pedestrian Mall in downtown, where plenty of shopping and dining is located. After a day of golf, those with an appetite head over to the historic district of Lower Downtown, known to locals as 'LoDo' and have a festive night for dinner. A Southern restaurant would not be complete without a Jazz feel, so musical paintings are featured around the bar.
Menu specialties include sweet potato catfish, tenderloin George, seafood jambalaya and the well-known sandwich: chicken, catfish or shrimp poboy. Gumbo's also offers diners a variety of gumbo by the cup or bowl, with selections like chicken and sausage, red beans with rice and sausage and seafood gumbo.
