Five Fifty-Five
The Five Fifty-Five is located in downtown Portland and offers some of the best contemporary American food in the area. The restaurant won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2009. On top of a stellar wine list, the Five Fifty-Five also has some amazing dishes to go with a peaceful, relaxed ambience. The restaurant doesn't have a dress code but is slightly upscale. For local favorites, go with the pan-roasted pheasant or the grilled line-caught swordfish. Or for something lighter, try the grilled caesar salad.
