The city of Hoboken celebrated its 150th birthday recently, and the mile-square city is ever changing. There are new additions to the impressive roster of restaurants all the time. From hotel restaurants with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline to tiny finds tucked away among the brownstones, Hoboken offers a range of restaurants to suit the most particular tastes. Enjoy steak restaurants, authentic ethnic restaurants and stylish contemporary fare, all within easy reach of area golf courses.

Zylo at the W Hotel

Zylo steakhouse at the trendy W Hotel boasts a prime waterfront location with the panoramic vistas of New York City across the Hudson River. Enjoy the offerings of a Tuscan kitchen with traditional Italian fare combined with modern steakhouse menu items. Menu selections include braised halibut, chicken grilled with baby artichokes, roasted duck and rack of lamb. The concrete, steel and stone mixed with warm wood accents creates an interesting, contemporary ambiance, and the emphasis on presentation and quality in the kitchen makes dining at Zylo a memorable experience. Zylo offers outdoor seating on the patio for unobstructed views of the city.

Lua

Lua is an upscale waterfront restaurant on Sinatra Drive serving a Latin-inspired menu. Lua has a lively bar scene with specialty drinks including Passion Fruit Mojitos, along with a wide-ranging wine menu. An extensive menu features steak, seafood and paella specialties. Diners at Lua will enjoy guava glazed barbecue shrimp, Cuban style slow rroasted pork shank and Lua's special paella.
The open interior reflects the feeling of the river just outside. Lua provides live entertainment Wednesday through Saturday for the entertainment of its guests.

Elysian Cafe

The Elysian Cafe, opened in 1895 as Dillenger & Jefferson's, is the oldest continually operated restaurant in Hoboken. During prohibition, it materialized as an ice cream parlor, and today the Elysian Cafe presents the diner with a French bistro menu. Seafood bouillabaise, lobster roll and roasted French cut chicken served with spinach mashed potatoes and a grape reduction sauce are on the dinner menu. Guests can choose from the brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, bar and children's menus. Outdoor landscaping is the hallmark of the Elysian Cafe at its prime Washington Street location. The Elysian Cafe offers a full roster of live entertainment for the enjoyment of patrons.
