Beautiful Lake Tahoe is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the border of California and Nevada. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts offering many recreational activities like skiing, fishing, hiking and horseback riding. Golf courses are nearby, including Lake Tahoe Golf Course and Edgewood Tahoe, where you can spend a day on the fairways. You will find many hotels and resorts in the area scattered about the mountain side and down near the lake shore that offer comfort and relaxation while you are on vacation.
