With its rich mix of history, culture and great golf courses, Boston ranks a top choice for golf vacationers. Whether you want to track the path of American Independence, hear some great music, explore the New England Aquarium, or spend the day on a challenging course, Boston has something to offer everyone.
New England Aquarium
One of America's best known sea sanctuaries, the New England Aquarium has several significant conservation efforts underway. For visitors, the aquarium offers a variety of ocean and lake-based exhibits, including coral reefs, tropical sea waters and arctic shores.
Special exhibits include the giant Pacific octopus, harbor seals and a giant anaconda, plus a look at the important role that ocean predators play in the food chain. The aquarium is one of Boston's most popular exhibits so lines can be long. Plan on going early or expect to wait to get in.

Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail stretches 2.5 miles in distance, and 200-plus years in history. Follow the route past restored churches, assembly halls and the taverns that provided meeting places during the early stages of the American Revolution. Historical markers, exhibits and small museums fill the Trail with interesting stops.
Be sure to see the U.S.S. Constellation, a fully restored battleship from the era. Finish your trip with a stop at Bunker Hill, site of one of the Revolutionary War's earliest and most important battles. You can walk the trail yourself, or go on a guided tour.

George Wright Golf Course
One of Boston most noted neighborhoods houses a most notable golf course. The George Wright Course was designed by famed golf architect Donald Ross. Many consider it one of his finest works. The course sits on drained swampland and was built to create jobs during the Great Depression. Besides its historical significance, the course provides a satisfying playing experience. The hilly fairways look gentle but pose a real challenge. The Wright course is owned by the city of Boston and is a public course.
