Italian Restaurants in Downtown Indianapolis

Indianapolis has a long and varied history when it comes to Italian food, and you'll find everything from fine dining establishments to noisy Italian family restaurants downtown, but few can argue about the quality of the food. With one restaurant featured on the Food Network, Indianapolis is the hidden heart of the Midwest when it comes to Italian food.

Dunaway's also has an extensive wine list. Dinner entrees range from $19 for Grilled Vegetable Lasagna to $42 dollars for Porterhouse Lamb Chops Scottadita. Iozzo's Garden of Italy

Lauded for its wonderful food and excellent staff, Iozzo's Garden of Italy is one of the newest Italian restaurants in downtown Indianapolis. Yet, the Iozzo family was the original pioneering family of Italian food in Indianapolis---and established the first Italian restaurant, Naples Grill, in Indianapolis in 1930. In 2009, the great-granddaughter of the original Iozzo opened Iozzo's Garden of Italy, bringing a family tradition full circle. The food comes from family recipes, and the restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner. Dinner entrees range from $10.95 to almost $30.
