Mexican Restaurants in Miami

Mexican Restaurants in Miami
Visitors all have their own reasons for going to Miami, but golf and food often top the list. Your first stop might be one of the popular golf courses, such as Doral, Redland or Miami Springs, and make your next stop a Mexican restaurant. Miami offers hundreds of choices where you can enjoy a meal of savory tacos or branch out to other dishes--flautas, fajitas and seafood entrees.

Verdaddy's Taco Shop

People flock to Verdaddy's for scrumptious tacos--and much more. You'll find tortilla salads, grilled quesadillas, loaded nachos and huevos rancheros topped with guacamole.

But the tacos are the stars of the show. Order a small or large soft taco with chicken, pork, beef or potatoes and add your choice of refried or black beans, cheese, rice and Mexican cream. Special tacos feature steak and potatoes, beer-battered fish or guacamole with spicy chicken. As of 2009, small tacos cost about $3.25 and large ones $8.50.

Cancun Grill

The menu is so inviting and extensive at Cancun Grill that it's hard to decide what to order. Start with an appetizer such as ceviche with cilantro-tomato dressing, or plantain nachos with cheese, steak or chicken. Then go on to enchiladas with meat and chili sauce or chicken and chipotle cream or try a chimichanga with skirt steak.

Other popular dishes include flautas with shredded beef or chicken and interesting quesadillas--think mushroom, or spinach and chicken. That's not even mentioning the fajitas with pork loin, shrimp or skirt steak or the other entrees such as chicken mole, garlic shrimp and mahi-mahi tacos. In 2009, enchilada platters were about $10; fish and meat entrees cost up to $18.

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill

This small chain has a growing fan base for its fresh, tasty cuisine. To begin, order nachos with beans, cheese and jalapenos, and add your choice of chicken, ground beef, steak or onions and peppers. Try the salads featuring marinated seasonal fish fried in beer batter or grilled chicken with bean and corn salsa. Other popular starters are the black bean and tortilla soups.

The tacos are tempting, too--try fish, steak, chicken or vegetarian (beans, guacamole, veggies, cheese and pico de gallo). As if that weren't enough choice, you can also indulge in fresh quesadillas, burritos and fajitas. As of 2009, most salads and entrees cost about $9.
