Grip
One of the biggest reasons for a golfer slicing the ball is having the incorrect grip on the club. When a golfer is gripping the golf club too tight, the ball is going to be pulled too much, and when the grip is too loose, the ball will slice in the opposite direction. Either loosen or tighten your grip depending on which way the ball is slicing.
Open Stance
When a golfer is hitting, he wants his toes pointing toward the ball, even with the shoulders, during the entire swing. Some golfers will move their feet so the toes are pointing toward the hole during the swing, but that will make the golfer pull the ball too much.
Even Weight
During the stance, a golfer can also slice the ball by not distributing his weight properly. A lot of golfers will want to put all of their weight on the back foot when they swing, but that will also cause a slice. A golfer instead must distribute the weight evenly between both legs.
