Hotels in Shanghai
While Shanghai may not be the first city that comes to mind when considering destinations for a golf vacation, there are numerous courses in and around Shanghai including some designed by the biggest names in golf course design. In addition to world-class championship courses, Shanghai offers many historical and modern attractions and no shortage of excellent hotels to choose from. Look for multilingual concierge services for assistance with planning golf excursions and any other activities you wish to pursue.

Four Seasons

The Four Seasons hotel in Shanghai won a place on the prestigious Conde Nast Travler Gold List for 2009, a fail-safe indication of exceptional luxury hospitality. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Shanghai, close to the Nanjing shopping and entertainment district and a few blocks from People's Square. The 37-story hotel offers 421 rooms and suites. Standard amenities include marble bathrooms with deep-soaking tubs, down bedding, satellite television, thick bathrobes, L'Occitane bath products, tea and coffee making facilities and Internet access. All guests enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby in the morning, bottled water and access to a DVD library.

The Four Seasons' concierge can make tee times and arrange transportation for you to play at Tomson Golf Club, about 30 minutes away; Shanghai Silport Golf Club, a world-class championship course about an hour away; or Shanghai West Golf Club, about an hour and a half away from the hotel. After a round, relax in the hotel's large indoor pool, sauna, steam rooms and whirlpool, or enjoy the canapé and drinks service on the poolside terrace.
