Lamp Post Inn
Three of the four reviewers who rated this restaurant loved it, and the one who didn't complained about the service, not the food. It has the reputation of being a good steakhouse. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, as the restaurant dining area is made up simply of booths and tables next to a bar area.

Bratina's Steak House
Bratina's is in a 250-year old stone house, and the dining area consists of the house's rooms. The three reviewers who rated it thought it was a good, but not great, restaurant. It serves mostly steak, but also has good seafood, including excellent crab cakes. Bratina's is less than 10 minutes from Hershey.

Hoss's Steak & Sea House
This Hoss's is one of 14 Hoss's restaurants in Pennsylvania, all of which are family-owned and family-oriented restaurants. The food is good for the price, and although only one reviewer rated this particular Hoss's, and didn't like it, the chain itself gets good reviews--38 reviews statewide averaged almost four stars. Probably the most notable feature of Hoss's is the salad, dessert and side dish bar, which is one of the most well-stocked you'll ever see. At peak hours, however, these popular restaurants can be crowded and noisy, like all restaurants that cater to the family demographic, and it can take a while to get through the salad bar line.

Doc Holliday's Steakhouse and Saloon
Doc Holliday's is another Pennsylvania chain, with locations in New Cumberland, Lancaster and Harrisburg. It's a higher end, Western-themed steakhouse with atmosphere and a bar adjacent. Doc's is about twice the price of Hoss's, but the food is better, if not as plentiful, and it tends to be patronized by adult customers.

Texas Roadhouse
Texas Roadhouse is a well-known national chain with 10 locations in Pennsylvania. Priced between Hoss's and Doc's, this restaurant features good steaks at a reasonable price. It has a Texas-themed atmosphere, and this location also has a bar adjacent. It's almost a half-hour drive from Hershey, however.

Culhane's Steakhouse
Although Culhane's is a good half-hour drive from the Hershey area, no discussion of central Pennsylvania steakhouses would be complete without mentioning it. If you want a steak, Culhane's has the best in the area. The steaks are huge, and the prices aren't, although it isn't cheap. The atmosphere is somewhat that of a small town family diner, but there is a bar adjacent for obtaining adult beverages. If you like a big steak at a reasonable price, Culhane's is worth the drive.
