Boston, Massachusetts is known for its historic neighborhoods, world-famous educational institutions and sports venues. It is also home to numerous excellent golf courses, making it a prime destination for a city/golf vacation, weather permitting. When considering five-star hotels in Boston, look for concierge services for assistance with choosing golf courses, making tee times and arranging transportation to and from the course.

Four Seasons

The Four Seasons in Boston is the only hotel in New England to be awarded both Forbes Traveler (formerly Mobil) Five Star and AAA Five Diamond awards, the latter for 22 consecutive years. It was also awarded a place on the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler Gold List for 2009, and called the "Number One Hotel in Boston" by Zagat Survey. The Four Seasons overlooks Boston Public Garden, the oldest botanical garden in America, and is within easy reach of all the city's major attractions.

The hotel offers 273 guest rooms including 77 suites. All rooms feature bay windows with views of Public Garden, the State House, city streets or a landscaped plaza. It was ranked the Best Public Course in Massachusetts by Golf Digest.

Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowes Wharf

This landmark hotel is located on the waterfront at Rowes Wharf, one of the oldest wharfs in America, in an area characterized by old-world brick streets. The Mandarin Oriental hotel is located on Boylston Street and is directly connected to shops and restaurants inside the Prudential Center. The Mandarin's concierge can secure your desired tee time at Granite Links, a 27-hole facility located about 7 miles from the hotel or any other course you would prefer. The hotel offers 136 rooms and 12 suites, all with deep soaking tubs, premium bedding, high-definition televisions and wireless Internet access. Suites range from 1,040 to 2,600 square feet. The premier suite is the Dynasty Suite. It features a master bedroom with gold silk walls, an oversized spa tub, living and dining rooms, fireplace, walk-in closet and pantry.
