The Roaring Fork
The Roaring Fork, located in the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel, exudes romance with a distinguished flavor of Southern class. The hotel is one of the city's most romantic and historic hotels; therefore, it's fitting that the Roaring Fork attributes itself to the same level of class and service.
The menu is eclectic for discerning palettes, as it offers flavorful foods ranging from swordfish to Southwestern enchiladas. Reservations are recommended, and special requests for flower arrangements and select wines are accommodated. Visitors to the Roaring Fork who wish to continue the romance beyond the restaurant, but not for the on-site valet to retrieve the car, can enjoy the many horse-drawn carriages awaiting them outside the front doors. Taking a ride in one of the elegant carriages allows the romance to continue on an after-dinner tour of the downtown and Town Lake.

Rathburn is an award-winning chef, defeating Bobby Flay on Food Network's, Iron Chef, who understands how to create mouth-watering menu selections in an atmosphere that could make the most hopeless romantic swoon time and time again. The menu contains exquisite selections of surf-and-turf variety, such as pecan crusted rainbow trout and a succulent Kansas City strip. Guests with the desire to complement dinner with a perfectly aged bottle of wine or brandy will find it an easy task given Jasper's impressive wine list and full bar selections.

Driskill Grill
The Driskill Grill, located in Austin's historic Driskill Hotel, asserts its four-diamond fine-dining reputation with its expanding lists of industry awards, which include the Fodor's Choice Award, as well as Zagat's "Extraordinary to Perfection" ranking. The Wine Spectator also awarded the Driskill Grill with the "Best of Award of Excellence 2009" for their quality wine list. A few of the signature dishes include the duck "three ways," prime dry aged filet mignon and lobster polenta. Due to the Driskill's popularity and reputation as Austin's premier location for a romantic evening, reservations are a necessity.
