Hotels in Pismo Beach, California
The city of Pismo Beach was initially developed for transferring freight by sea, but in the late 1880s, developers recognized the potential for tourism. Hotels, a tourist trade fed by the Southern Pacific Railroad line to the city, a tent city and summer timeshares all brought visitors to the area looking for relaxation. The city continues to offer relaxation and recreation. Pismo Beach, California today is the home of a nine-hole executive golf course. The city is just a short drive from Avila Beach Golf Resort and the Pismo State Beach, Black Lake and Cypress Ridge golf courses.
