Dick's Drive In

Fans of Southern California's In-N-Out Burgers will feel right at home at Dick's Drive In. Each of its five locations serves fresh hamburgers that are never frozen. Dick's french fries are made on-site, cut to order and its milkshakes are made from real ice cream, individually whipped. Dick's menu and decor are simple, and guests have been enjoying Dick's since 1954.

The Palace Kitchen

Tom Douglas' Palace Kitchen, near the North Shore Golf Course, is open until 1 a.m. and serves breakfast foods as well as dinner entrees, depending on how late you arrive. Reservations from 6 to 14 people can be accommodated in its private party room, and the menu boasts artisan cheeses, smoked meats and flame-seared entrees. Instead of fried wings and potato skins, The Palace Kitchen's tasty little Reuben sandwiches, clam bake, or pork chops and eggs make for late-night fare that's tasty and fresh.

Beth's Cafe

The Greenlake neighborhood treasure, Beth's Cafe, is located on Aurora Avenue (Highway 99) just a few blocks from the Green Lake Golf Course and features the famous 12-egg omelette. It's a "greasy spoon" restaurant with traditional American breakfasts. Open late at night, this restaurant serves several different combinations off egg omelettes, as well as burgers, sandwiches and fried foods. Beth's Southwestern Exposure omelette was featured on a Travel Channel episode of "Man v. Food."
