Rooster's Barn and Grill

Rooster's Barn and Grill is an American-style restaurant housed in a barn in old-town Bloomingdale. The mid-priced grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual, relaxed environment. The restaurant offers a bar with sports on TV, a lodge-style dining area and a patio. The food at Rooster's includes a wide range of classics such as nachos, wings, chili, Caesar salad, barbecue, club sandwiches, fish, steak, omelets, pancakes and French toast. Rooster's is famous for its world-class hot sauce collection, offering more than 500 hot sauces to taste or purchase.

Tony Spavone's Ristorante serves up authentic Italian cuisine in Bloomingdale. The owner, Tony Spavone, often serenades diners in the laid-back restaurant. The price range is modest, and the restaurant serves lunch and dinner, as well as offers catering. Popular menu items include ravioli, spaghetti, mostaciolli, linguini, steak, risotto, cannoli and tiramisu. Diners also enjoy the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tony Spavone's offers a wide selection of wines, from champagne to Cabernet Sauvignon. Portillo's Hot Dogs

Portillo's Hot Dogs is an old-style American diner chain with a location in Bloomingdale. Each Portillo's restaurant has its own theme, and the Bloomingdale location's is old-style Chicago. Dick Portillo started Portillo's in 1963 in a trailer, and the restaurant has since grown to include locations across the country. The restaurant serves up tasty American staples for a low price. Menu items range from chili cheese dogs to charbroiled burgers, meatball sandwiches, french fries, onion rings, shakes and strawberry shortcake. For vegetarians, there is a grilled vegetable sandwich, a veggie croissant and a variety of salads. The old-fashioned, casual-style diner includes many photos and memorabilia from the past and gives off a welcoming, nostalgic vibe.
