Public Golf Courses in New York
With hundreds of golf courses scattered across New York, golfers often travel there in hopes of playing a truly spectacular course. Golfing has become such a favorite pastime of New Yorkers (and those who travel there) that the New York Golf Shuttle was created to transport golf lovers from course to course in the state. Whether you are a golfing novice or a seasoned professional, there are several public golf courses in New York that will inspire you to play the best game of your life.

The Black Course at Bethpage State Park

Tillinghast was responsible for the design of the Black Course (along with three other courses in the park). Par is 71, and as of November 2009, an 18 hole round at the Black Course was between $100 and $120 per person.
