One of the nation's first cities, some of Boston's architecture dates back the the 17th century. Included in the nation's oldest and firsts in Boston is The Country Club, one of the original courses recognized by the USGA and home to countless national amateur and professional tournaments. Several of Boston's finest hotels are recognized by the Historical Hotels of America as some of the most significant in the country.

Park Plaza Hotel and Towers

The Park Plaza has been a Back Bay landmark since it opened in March of 1927. A member of the Historical Hotels of America, the Park Plaza is currently a Starwood Property. The hotel is a short walk from the Commons and the Public Garden, as well as many of the city's most popular attractions. There are over 900 guest rooms and nine restaurants and lounges on-site including McCormick & Schmick's and Afternoon Tea.

Omni Parker House Hotel

Over 150 years old and still improving, the Omni Parker House has over 550 rooms. Recently awarded with the green eco-leaf distinction as one of the nation's greenest hotels, the Omni Parker is on the Freedom Trail and is steps from many major attractions. The Lenox Hotel

On the corner of Exeter and Boylston Streets in Copley Plaza, the Lenox Hotel is a luxury boutique with a long history. It's in the heart of the Back Bay where you are surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. You can even celebrate a great round of golf at Sólás, the Lenox's authentic Irish pub. The Fairmont Copley Plaza

Built in 1912 by famed architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, the Fairmont Copley Plaza has 383 guest rooms and is home to the Copley Plaza's Fairmont Gold, the ultra luxurious hotel within the hotel occupying the entire fourth floor. The Oak Room, located in the hotel, is considered one of the best steakhouses in the city and is home to the Oak Bar and The Wine Room. The hotel boasts an impressive guest list, and according to the hotel's website "most presidents since Taft" have stayed at the Fairmont.
