Monterey Family Hotels

By Timothy Sexton

Monterey Family Hotels
Monterey is a community that can be found about two hours south of San Francisco. Many wonderful resorts take advantage of its position on the seaside and offer families several possibilities for outdoor recreation. While staying at one of these resorts, be sure to check out the narrow, tree-line fairways at the Monterey Pines Golf Course.

Highlands Inn

This Monterey family resort offers guests spectacular views of Big Sur and Point Lobos and has hosted Presidents and Princes over its long history. Rooms feature the Hyatt's Grand Beds for a good night's sleep, wireless Internet service and a TV and DVD player. Older kids will enjoy the opportunity for some first-rate mountain biking or hiking while you and the spouse try your hand at yoga lessons or a private spa experience inside the privacy of your room. The two restaurants offer world class cuisine as well as a world class view of the ocean.
