Elijah's is a grill and oyster bar located on the boardwalk of the Cape Fear River. Open for lunch and dinner starting at 11:30 am, there is inside and outside seating available. Outside tables with umbrellas are located along a deck area overlooking the water. Menu items include such tasty treats as crab cakes, flatiron steaks, sandwiches, seafood platters and linguine. Desserts range from death by chocolate to apple pie.

The Bridge Tender
Serving certified Angus beef and fresh seafood, The Bridge Tender is a waterfront mainstay having been in the area for 33 years. With inside and outside dining available, you can choose to watch the water from a window seat or on a breezy deck. Open for lunch Monday through Friday, and dinner every night at 5 p.m., menu items include basic fare such as burgers, wraps, soups and salads. Other more elaborate selections include horseradish crusted tuna, crab stuffed flounder and Gorgonzola Angus sirloin.

Ruth's Chris Steak House
A very popular steak house, Ruth's Chris is located at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside Hotel. In the heart of the riverfront area, Ruth's Chris features such menu items as New York strip, ribeye, lobster, lamb chops and stuffed chicken breast. Sides include everything from salads and steamed vegetables to tempura onion rings and sauteed mushrooms. Open for dinner Monday through Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m., it is best to call ahead to avoid the lines. Jackets are not required, but dress tends to be a bit nicer. Valet parking is available.
