Dog owners have three choices of hotel accommodations in Estes Park, Colorado. They should, however, be prepared to sign a waiver and agree to pay for any damages their pet causes. Pets also cannot be left alone in the rooms. Estes Park Golf Course, which measures 6,400 yards from the back tees, provides amazing views of the nearby Rocky Mountains. Estes Park is the eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The course is also a great place to see elk, deer and coyote, all of which have been known to make an appearance there.
Cliffside Cottages
Cliffside Cottages welcomes family dogs and has a fenced-in dog exercise area. The hotel staff will even walk your dog when you leave the cottages. One of the unusual features of the cottages is that each unit has a hummingbird feeder. The feeders attract a multitude of small birds. Other small animals, such as chipmunks and squirrels, scurry around the premises, making it a great place for children to view small wildlife. Wi-Fi is available on the patio next to the office. The largest cabin can sleep up to six people and features a living room, a queen size sofa bed, a carpeted front porch, picnic table, a full kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace. The cottages are not open for the 2009-10 winter season, but reopen Memorial Day weekend 2010.
