The Ocean
Pete Dye designed this South Carolina course that became famous when it was featured in the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance. There are 10 holes on this course that run along the Atlantic Ocean, and the wind blowing in can make playing here similar to a links course in Scotland. The greens fees are not for the weak of heart, but include a cart or caddie.

Turtle Point
The Turtle Point course was designed by Jack Nicklaus who did a wonderful job of tailoring the course around the natural landscape. There are several very long par-four holes that test your strength and ability to drive straight. The 15th hole can be particularly unforgiving when the wind whips up because the green is small and well protected by dunes.

Osprey Point
Tom Fazio designed the Osprey Point course and created a marshy wonderland. A Southern Gothic feel is amply provided by the surrounding marshlands and the huge oaks and towering magnolia trees. You may even spot an alligator or two as you make your way through this highly scenic, but challenging course. The gators will leave you alone if you leave them alone, but keep your distance as they aren't as slow as they may seem.

Cougar Point
Cougar Point was designed by Gary Player and is notable for having four finishing holes that test every skill a great golfer needs in their bag of tricks. Also of interest are the holes that occur halfway through the course that open up to provide views of the Kiawah River and the surrounding marshes populated by pelicans and osprey. The South Carolina Golf Owners Association honored Cougar Point as the Golf Course of the Year.

Oak Point
This Scottish-style course at Kiawah was designed by Clyde Johnston. Be prepared for the challenge of hitting a few blind shots and keep one eye out for the occasional memorable appearance of a bald eagle. The course is easier when played from the front tees, but provides only a mild test of skills if you choose to start from the back tees.
