Las Vegas Newest Hotels & Casinos

Las Vegas Newest Hotels & Casinos
Las Vegas is a city that is always changing. New casinos open each year as the older ones are closed and demolished. If it has been longer than six months since your last golf trip to Las Vegas, you will have new hotels to choose from. Many of these new hotels and casinos are being built away from traditional gambling areas like the Strip and downtown's Fremont Street.

M Resort

Located several miles south of the Strip on I-15, the M Resort is the newest Las Vegas casino at the time this article was written. It opened to the public on March 1, 2009, showing an emphasis on luxury and at a reasonable price. Even the standard rooms have high-end amenities like pillow-top mattresses, work desks with executive chairs, dual sinks, marble floors, separate bathtubs and showers, TVs in the bathroom, MP3 docking stations, and mini-bars.

If you are looking for a great meal after a day at the golf course, visit Veloce Cibo at the top of the M Resort. The restaurant offers gourmet dining and cocktails with a breathtaking view of the mountains. To relax, visit the 23,000-square foot spa for a massage or a session in the sauna.

Encore Las Vegas

On Dec. 22, 2008, Steve Wynn opened Encore Las Vegas, the sister property to his existing Wynn Las Vegas mega-resort. The two hotels are connected by a walkway, making it easy for golfers staying at the Encore to visit the Wynn's beautiful 7,042-yard golf course, which includes a 37-foot high waterfall. After golfing for the day, visit the spa for a facial, massage or body treatment.

The hotel has over 2,000 guest rooms, all of which are suites with a separate living area, floor-to-ceiling windows, 42-inch or larger flat-screen TVs, bathrobes, slippers and in-mirror televisions in the bathrooms are standard.

Aliante Station

Golfers who are also fans of auto racing may enjoy staying at Aliante Station, which is located in North Las Vegas and is only 13 miles from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This hotel, which opened on Nov. 11, 2008, is one of the few Las Vegas casino properties that permits pets in the guest rooms. Your pet must weigh less than 25 pounds and there is an additional one-time cleaning fee charged per stay.

Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, 16-screen movie theater, 600-seat showroom, and outdoor swimming pool with padded lounge chairs. Aliante Station is also a great place to watch a game, with three large high definition TVs in the Race and Sports Book, along with dozens of smaller televisions spread along the walls.
