Beach Resorts in Grand Cayman

Beach Resorts in Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is the largest of three islands in an archipelago in the Western Caribbean Sea. The island offers golf, world-class diving, snorkeling and sailing, historical sites, botanical gardens, hiking and bird-watching, among other activities. A major highlight is "Stingray City" where you can hand-feed friendly stingrays. Beach resorts are an ideal choice for golfers. Not only do they combine beach and water activities with luxurious accommodation and amenities, some resorts offer on-site golf courses and special golf privileges to guests.

The Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman has received multiple prestigious awards, including the AAA Five-Diamond Award for three consecutive years and a place on the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List for 2009. The resort overlooks Seven-Mile Beach, one of the most popular and famous beaches on the island, and is situated over 144 scenic acres between the Caribbean Sea and North Sound. A big draw for golfers is the Blue Tip Golf Course, designed by Greg Norman. The nine-hole course is exclusive to resort guests and Ritz-Carlton residence owners. It features eight water holes and final island green with cooling Caribbean trade winds that come into play. A caddie concierge service, professional instruction, a pro-shop and Taylor Made equipment rentals are available.

The Ritz-Carlton offers 35 guest rooms and two- and three-bedroom suites. Standard room features include a private furnished balcony or terrace, goose-down pillows and feather bedding, marble bathrooms, high-speed Internet access, a refrigerated refreshment bar, and gourmet tea and coffee. Rooms have views of the ocean, garden or resort and include a king-size bed and twin sleeper love seat or two queen-size beds. Suites range from 960 square feet to the 2,400 square foot Ritz-Carlton suite and have lagoon, golf course, beach or sea views. Some suites have a washer and dryer and a personal chef is available upon request. Private residence-style accommodations include two or three bedrooms, chef's kitchens, 24-hour personal concierge and butler services and a pre-arrival grocery shopping service. Guests enjoy access to many resort amenities including a gourmet restaurant run by renowned chef Eric Ripert, the "Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau" eco-adventure program, and the Silver Rain luxury spa. Beach and poolside cabanas are available. The cabanas have teak beds, DVD players with a movie selection, complimentary soft drinks, snacks and luxurious robes.
