Wellfleet, Massachusetts, is on the west end of Cape Cod. Its year-round population is 3,500, according to the town's official website, but it grows to about 17,000 people during the summer. The town has several beaches and an abundance of boating activities, including some fine deep sea fishing, but if you plan to play some golf, Chequessett Country Club is your only choice in Wellfleet. The course is a regulation length course of 2,621 yards, nine holes and par of 35. There are other golf courses in the Cape Cod area that may interest the golfer and hotels to stay in while you visit.

The Even'tide Resort Motel and Cottages offers guests four types of rooms to choose from and nine cottages. Each of the rooms and cottages has refrigerators, coffee makers, cable television and free local calls. The motel has a laundry, indoor swimming pool with outside sun deck as well as easy access to a 25-mile bike trail. The resort has many sporting activities on the ground, such as a basketball court, horseshoe pit, shuffleboard and mini-golf, where the guests can practice their putting. Even'tide does not offer any specials or discounts for the golfer but has many outdoor activities close to the grounds.

The Mainstay Motor Inn
The Mainstay Motor Inn is a family-run business, and the Granlund family has been running it for three generations. The Mainstay has a variety of rooms, plus a three-bedroom cottage with washer and dryer, cable television, full kitchen. The inn does not offer the golfer any specials or discounts, but the management says it will make arrangements such as tee times. The large swimming pool is available to all of the guests as well as access to the nearby boating, kayaking or tennis courts.
