Located off of the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, San Diego is one of the most popular and most often visited cities in the Western United States. It is also one of California's most populated cities and features over two dozen private and public golf courses. With the city's well known 70 degree Fahrenheit and sunny weather most of the year, visitors can enjoy some of the top golf clubs in the state year-round.

Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club

The Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club in San Diego, California, is located just off of I-15 in downtown San Diego. The course is a 6,300-yard, par-71 layout that features 18 holes on Bermuda grass. A PACS Enterprises golf club, the facility was opened in 1986 and the course was designed by Ron Fream with a slope rating of 131 and a course rating of 70.9. The course features fairways with views of nearby houses and drastic elevation changes, making for elevated tee boxes and blind approach shots.

The Grand Golf Club

The Grand Golf Club in San Diego is located just off of the Ted Williams Freeway, not far from the Carmel Mission Park and Carmel Creek Park. The club features an on-site driving range of 50 tees, a pro shop with equipment and apparel for sale, and a bar and restaurant. The course itself was designed by the famous ASGCA member Thomas Fazio, and features a characteristically long 7,100 yards, for an 18-hole, par-72. The course's rating is 135 and features sloped greens and rolling fairways with a view of the surrounding scenery.

Admiral Baker Golf Course

The Admiral Baker Golf Course in San Diego, California, is situated just off of I-15 and minutes from the Friars Road Shopping Center. The course features two 18-hole regulation courses and a driving range of 50 tees. Opened in 1957 and designed by Jack L. Daray of the ASGCA, the older North Course features 6,800 yards of golf with a par of 72, a slope rating of 129 and a course rating of 72.5. The fairways are well bunkered and the greens are moderate to large.
