Northwest Florida has many military bases including Eglin, which is open for tours as well as activities such as camping, hunting and fishing. One of the most interesting places on the base is the Armaments Museum's collection of vintage military planes. There is even a challenging golf course that is available for those who can show an active or retired military ID. The course also includes a driving range and pro shop. If you come to Eglin during the summer you may even on occasion get the added benefit of watching the Blue Angels practicing in the skies over nearby Pensacola.
