Salt Lake Plaza Hotel
The Salt Lake Plaza Hotel is just across the street from the Salt Palace, therefore many guests who attend conferences at the convention center stay in the Salt Lake Plaza. The hotel is also close to Temple Square, Utah's most-visited tourist destination. Guests of the hotel can choose between four different types of provincial-styled rooms. These rooms are double-queen rooms, deluxe-king rooms, single-queen rooms and Jacuzzi suites. The Jacuzzi suites are elegantly appointed and the Jacuzzi is discretely hidden behind attractive curtains. In addition to featuring an on-site restaurant, the hotel also has an outdoor pool and a free shuttle that will transport you between the hotel and the airport. If you have time during your stay in Salt Lake City, you may want to visit the Cottonwood Golf Course, a par-3, nine-hole course that is less than a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

Hotel Monaco
The Hotel Monaco is less than a mile away from the Salt Palace. In addition to being an elegant and accommodating hotel, the Hotel Monaco is also a unique hotel that features amenities you don't typically find at other places. Guests who are particularly tall can reserve tall rooms, which feature beds that are nine feet long. The shower heads in the bathrooms are also higher than normal. Guests who are traveling by themselves might want to participate in the hotel's goldfish adoption program. Upon checking in, you can adopt a goldfish and take care of it in your room for the duration of your stay. If you are attending a convention at the Salt Palace and can find a block of time that you are able to slip out, you may want to try your hand on the Nibley Park Golf Course, which you should be able to golf fairly quickly, since it is a nine-hole course.
