What started out as an old west mining town has turned into one of the infamous towns in the country. Best known for its gunslingers and trigger-happy lawmen, Tombstone, Arizona today is a place where the west comes to life. But, don't go thinking it's all about the old west because there are over a dozen courses within 20 miles of Tombstone, including the Turquoise Hills in Benson and the Mountain View Golf Course‎ in Fort Huachuca. But, if you're looking to stay where the west was wild, Tombstone's the place.

Trail Rider's Inn‎

The Trail Rider's Inn is a sprawling single level complex with an outdoor hot tub, a picnic area and one of those vintage signs more common off of Route 66. The design of the rooms have a Native American influence with Indian blankets on the beds, Victorian furnishings, small televisions, wood dressers, air conditioning and both smoking and non smoking rooms. There's free morning coffee in the lobby and the Inn is located within walking distance of the historic district.

Best Western Lookout Lodge‎

Located to the north of town on Highway 80, the Best Western Lookout Lodge‎ has 40 rooms on two levels and accepts pets for a minimal fee. There's an outdoor pool that's open 10 months out of the year, a cocktail lounge and a restaurant, which has been rated as the number one breakfast place in Tombstone. The rooms have been renovated and feature amenities like cable televisions, free local phone calls, clean tile bathrooms and air conditioning for those tortuously hot Arizona days.

Tombstone Sagebrush Inn‎

The Tombstone Sagebrush Inn‎ is two blocks to the north of Main Street and the site of the O.K. Corral. The hotel was built in 1947 and has had such notable guests as John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. The hotel was bought and renovated in 1998 to preserve its rich history while still providing guests with a comfortable place to stay. There's knotty pine woodwork throughout the suite-style rooms. There's a ready-to-use kitchen with a dining table and a whirlpool tub for having a soak to relieve stressed muscles.
