Pebble Beach Golf Academy has created a golf school of unparalleled quality. Here, each instructor is hand-picked and trained in the "Pebble Beach Tradition" of guest service and individualized attention. Each undergoes a full year of certification that includes tutelage in the short game, the long game, putting, course strategy, golf concepts, the mental and physical aspects of the game, video analysis, guest satisfaction and much more. All this in an effort to teach you that great things are possible on the course with the Pebble Beach Golf Academy.

LAIRD SMALL
2003 PGA Teacher of the Year
Named Director of the Pebble Beach Golf Academy in 1996, Laird Small has received many honors, inlcuding 2003 PGA Teacher of the Year award, and NCPGA's Northern California Teacher of the Year in 1996. Small has been named consistently by Golf Magazine as one of the country's "Top 100 Teachers," which is one of the most prestigious honors a golf professional can attain. Small has the rare ability to combine premier playing abilities with the gift of teaching golf acumen. Small was Head Professional for nine years at Spyglass Hill Golf Course before directing the academy. He was instrumental in developing the AT&T Pebble Beach Junior Golf Association and is a past president of the group, which introduces youngsters to golf through scholarships, clinics, and tournaments.

KATHERINE MARREN
Selected as one of the top 50 teachers in the U.S. by Golf for Women Magazine and one of 10 Best Golf Instructors in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Examiner in 1995, Katherine Marren is a Lead Instructor and conducts teacher training for the Pebble Beach Golf Academy. She previously taught at clubs in South Florida, giving more than 5,000 lessons. She played collegiate golf at North Carolina State University and was the Womens' District of Columbia Amateur Champion in 1986. She has received an award for volunteering her time to teach golf to members of the local Boys and Girls Club and was named as the AT&T Pebble Beach Junior Golf Foundation's Professional of the Year.

DAN PASQUARIELLO
Selected by Golf Magazine as one of its "100 Best Teachers in America" in 1996, Dan Pasquariello has instructed more than 100,000 students from around the world, including leaders in the sports, entertainment, and corporate worlds. His credits are many: he was PGA Head Professional of Knollwood County Club in South Bend, Indiana; Director of Instruction of the Wailea and Kapalua Resorts in Maui, Hawaii and the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois; and the originator of The Golf School at Kapalua, Maui, and the Professional Golf School Manual. He has contributed many articles to major golf publications, such as Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.

SALLY DODGE
Selected as one of the top 50 teachers in the U.S. by Golf for Women Magazine, Sally Dodge has been an LPGA Teaching Professional for more than 20 years. An LPGA Master Professional - the highest classification in the LPGA - she is one of only 63 Master Professionals in the United States. She was named Professional of the Year for the LPGA Western Section in 1994 and Pebble Beach Company's Employee of the Year in 1990. She has served as an LPGA Western Section evaluator and advisor for four years and has conducted many golf clinics with the LPGA and Pebble Beach Golf Academy.
