Glen Farnsworth - Glen's Website
Glen a native of Naples, Florida started his career under Jim McLean in 1981 at Sunningdale CC. He has been Director of Instruction at such prestigious clubs as Quaker Ridge, Maidstone Golf Club in East Hampton Long Island, Maroon Creek in Aspen Co. and Royal Poinciana in Naples. He works with many Tour players including Curt Byrum a winner on the PGA Tour, Adam Mednick a winner on the European Tour and currently with Jim Ahern a two time winner on the Champions Tour, just to name a few. Glen spent three years playing on the US mini tour and one year on the Swedish Tour while he was Director of Instruction at Sundsvall Golf Club in Sweden. Glen was nominated for South Florida Teacher of the Year in 1996 as well as for Golf Magazine's top 100 teachers. Glen has given over 500 golf schools and more than 250,000 private lessons and offers a unique and extremely entertaining Trick Shot and Impersonation Exhibition to corporations and other groups locally and around the World. Also, Glen has appeared on the Golf Channel and has offered many seminars for the PGA.

Michael Hunt
Michael Hunt has been with Jim since 1996. He currently works year round as a Lead Master Instructor. Michael spent 1997 as Jim's personal assistant at Doral. He currently works with Len Mattiace (2002 two time PGA winner) and Christie Kerr (2002 LPGA winner), as well as other players on tour. He travels to over 20 events a year on the PGA and LPGA tours. Michael also creates game plans for future development for his junior and mini tour players.

Bobby Cole
South African born Bobby Cole is a Lead Master Instructor on the Jim McLean teaching staff. An outstanding instructor, his teaching skills are enhanced by his extensive professional playing experience on both the US and the South African PGA Tours. Included among Bobby's 22 worldwide tournament wins are The British Amateur, The South African Open (twice), The South African PGA Championship, The Buick Open, The Seattle Everett Open, and both the team and the individual win in the 1974 World Cup of Golf. He has had 8 top ten finishes in the PGA Championship, the US Open, and the British Open, and finished 3rd in the 1975 British Open, one stroke back of Tom Watson and Jack Newton, who played off for the win. Bobby's records as the youngest player to make the cut and play at the Masters, and the youngest winner of the British Amateur stand today. With more than 150 cuts and a tournament win, he is a Lifetime Member of the US PGA Tour.

At the Jim McLean School, Bobby is a favorite instructor with current and future touring pros, as well as recreational players and aspiring Juniors. He offers private lessons, schools, seminars, and clinics and teaches both one-on-one, or with Jim McLean and other instructors at the school. In addition to teaching, he competes professionally on the Champions Tour and plays in some PGA and Nationwide Tournaments and ProAms. Bobby's lifetime history in the game of golf has made him the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper articles and a 1998 profile on The Golf Channel.

Shannon Hamel
A graduate of the University of Miami, Shannon has been with the Jim McLean Golf School at Doral for eight years. Shannon is one of the golf schools' most sought after teachers and she works year round at the golf school at Doral. Prior to joining the Jim McLean Golf School, Shannon taught at the renowned Medinah Country Club in Chicago. Shannon was a four year scholarship player at the University of Miami and has been nominated as one of the 50 Best Female Instructors by Golf for Women magazine.

Mariano Bartolome
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He played over 6 years on the South American and Argentinean Tours before joining Jim's staff. Mariano was the Golf School Director at the prestigious Golf Club Argentino. He also worked at such prestigious clubs as Hindu Club and Buenos Aires Golf Club (Home of the 2000 World Cup). Mariano currently works with top PGA, European, and Champions Tour players such as Carlos Franco, Angel Cabrera, Hernan Rey, and Vicente Fernandez. He has worked personally with Jim McLean on the Y Factor study which was the cover story of Golf Digest in July 2001. Mariano has also conducted clinics in Argentina, Uruguay, and the Dominican Republic and is in his sixth year at Doral.

Alan Fort
Alan Fort was born in Lima, Peru and is fluent in English and Spanish. He taught 3 years at Los Incas Golf Club in Lima, Peru. Alan played on the South American Tour for 6 years and finished 8th in the 1999 Order of Merit. He was an All-American at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL, and majored in marketing. Alan won 4 tournaments in Peru as a Professional, won more than 60 tournaments as an Amateur and represented Peru in two World Cups (Canada - 1992, France - 1994) and 20 international tournaments. Alan has also instructed clincs in Mexico, Spain, Peru, Chile and the Dominican Republic and conducted a teaching seminar in Madrid, Spain. He has been working with Jim since the summer of 2001.

Among his students include recording star Marc Anthony and also works with professionals that play on the challenge tour in Europe and Futures Tour in the US.

Kevin Sprecher - Kevin's Website
Kevin Sprecher grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from Arizona State University in 1992, he began working for Jim McLean at the Sleepy Hollow C.C in Scarborough, NY. During the summer and the Doral Resort and Spa in the winter.

Deborah Doniger
Debbie grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. She was named the top Smith Corona Academic All America for the AJGA. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was captain of the golf team her junior and senior years. She led the Tar Heels to an ACC Championship in 1992, won the ACC Championship and was elected All-Conference. Debbie was also selected as a 2005 Golf Digest For Women Top 50 Instructor.

  • She was one of five college seniors selected to represent the United States in The World University Golf Matches, Mallorca, Spain. There she won the individual bronze medal, the only American to medal in the competition.
  • In 2003, she was inducted into the ACC Hall of Fame as one of the best women golfers in the ACC for the last 50 years.
  • Debbie has won every New York Metropolitan tournament in the Met area as a junior and an amateur.
  • Competed on The Future's Tour, The Gold Coast Tour, and qualified in 1993 as the low American, in the top five, for The European Tour.
  • Contributes to Golf for Women magazine, appears on The Golf Channel Academy Live, and has a national golf fitness video with Jim McLean called Golf Warm-Ups.

Mark Costaregni
Mark, a top teacher and player, has been at Doral for six years. His impressive playing credentials include a low competitive round of 64, victories in two Colorado PGA Match Play Championships and consistent performance in the South American and Asian Professional Tours. Mark is a University of Florida alumni and was a member of their nationally ranked team. During the summer Mark is the Director of Instruction at The International, located just outside Boston, in Bolton, Mass. He is a former Head Instructor at Beaver Creek G.C. near Vail, CO and lead instructor at the world famous Century Country Club in Purchase, NY.

Jim Damiano
Jim is originally from Cape Cod, Mass. He attended the University of Mass. where he excelled at golf as well as ice hockey. After competing professionally, Jim became a full time instructor. He is currently the Teaching Professional at the Glen Oaks Club in Long Island, New York in the summer months. During the winter months you can find him at the Jim McLean Golf School at Doral. Jim is entering his fifth year as a Master Instructor and he actively teaches players of all levels. Many of his students include top amateurs and young professionals, trying to take their games to the next level.

Tommie Marino
Originally from Greenwich, CT, compliments the JMGS with 34 years of teaching experience at Doral. Working with all levels of players, Tommie proudly joined Jim in September 2000 as a full-time Master Instructor.

Before joining Jim, he was 1st Assistant to Eddie Bush, Doral's Head Pro, who taught the LPGA's first million dollar winner and Hall of Fame Inductee, Pat Bradley. Tommie assisted in all her lessons before becoming a PGA member in 1972. Tommie also studied under the tutelage of respected golf legend Harry "Lighthorse" Cooper for 3 winters here at Doral. Tommie was also influenced by a Top 100 Instructor, Jimmy Ballard and was a staff instructor for the world famous, Jimmy Ballard Workshop at Doral from 1983-1989.

Tommie is currently working with Rick Carrillo, the past Mexican National Amateur Champion, in his pursuit of tour qualifying school in October 2004. They have been a team for almost 3 years.

Kevin Hinton
Kevin grew up in Port Huron Michigan, and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000. Kevin spent the 2001 season as Jim Mclean's personal assistant, aiding Jim with every private lesson, golf school and clinic. Kevin has been a Master Instructor at Doral since 2002, and has spent the last three summers as the Teaching Professional at the Piping Rock Club in Long Island, New York.

Marcos Zuazu
Marcos started playing golf at age 20. He turned professional three years later, and played extensively in professional tournaments in Texas with a career low round of 64. Marcos got his start at Houston Country Club were he worked for Top 100 Instructor Paul Marchand. Originally from Spain, Marcos has been at the Jim McLean Golf School since 2002. He is currently the Director of Junior Golf that includes over 150 juniors. Member of the PGA since 2000.

Patricia Gonzalez
Originally from Armenia, Colombia, Patricia started playing golf at age 15. Played in the Colombian National Team from 1978 to 1985 and winner of the major amateur tournaments in Colombia. Played collegiate golf at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and majored in business marketing. Won the 1982 AIAW All State Tournament as a freshman and also the 1985 SWC Championship Individual & Team as a senior. Turned professional in 1986 and was Rookie of the Year in the European LPGA. Her career low round was 65. She is a member of the English and Colombian PGA since 1987. She has worked in England, USA and Colombia and has been with Jim McLean Golf School since 2002.

Jared Isaacs
Jared, originally from New York, has been with the Jim McLean Golf School for eight years. He began his training under Jim McLean in 1996 at Doral. In 1998, Jared took Jim's system and developed our La Quinta location with fellow instructor Bryan Lebedevitch. Jared has earned a reputation as an enthusiastic, engaging instructor who really enjoys watching his students improve. Here are a few of Jared's highlights.

Ryan Scott
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio is in his third full season at Doral. He played four years of collegiate golf at Ashland University where he was the team captain. During his time at Ashland, Ryan was named All-Conference, All-District and an Academic All-American. Ryan teaches at the prestigious Lake Shore CC in Chicago, Illinois during the summer months. He has assisted every Lead and Master Instructor as well as Jim McLean with numerous lessons and schools. Ryan is a past winner of the Jackie Burke award for the Top Assistant Professional here at Doral.

John Bierkan
John is a native of Middlefield, Connecticut and a graduate of the University of Connecticut. John joined the staff at Doral in 2005 and is a certified Jim McLean Instructor. John has studied under every Lead Master Instructor and has observed lessons with PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tour Players.

John is not only an Instructor, but also serves as the First Assistant to Christopher Toulson, Corporate Director of Instruction for all the Jim McLean Golf Schools. John has a strong passion for teaching golfers of all skill levels and likes to make the improvement process fun!

Director of the company Golf BioDynamics, Rob developed a strategic alliance with Jim McLean in 2003. His company now provides expert biomechanical services to all of the Jim McLean Golf Schools. Rob is based at The Jim McLean Golf School, Miami Florida during the winter - providing the 3D Swing Analysis technology alongside the expert golf instruction.

Karen Harrison - Golf BioDynamicsKaren is Co-Director of Golf BioDynamics and is currently works full-time in the golf industry. Based at the Jim McLean Golf School (Miami, Florida) during the winter season, the summer season is spent working in the New York area at various private golf clubs. Although Karen's original training is as a Podiatrist, her interests lie in sports medicine and performance enhancement. She completed a sports science degree focusing on biomechanics and sports medicine in 1997.

Artie McNickle - Lead Master Instructor
Artie is a native of California, and as a collegian at the University of California at Berkeley, he was the top ranked amateur in Northern California. In 1972 he began his competitive professional career traveling to Africa for 3 months then finishing up his international tournament play in Europe for the next 4 months. Artie successfully qualified for the PGA Tour in the fall of 1972, and competed for 12 years on the circuit. Included in a number of top ten finishes were 2nd places: at the Andy Williams San Diego Open, the Southern Open in Columbus, Georgia, and at State Farm Classic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Among several mini-tour wins, his most notable victory came in the Ontario Open outlasting the legendary Moe Norman in the final round by 4 strokes. Artie also competed in 7 U.S. Open Championships, including one as an amateur, 5 PGA Championships, and 2 Master's Invitationals. After his competitive career came to a close he directed the Jimmy Ballard Golf School for 6 years. Before he joined his old friend Jim McLean as the Director of Instruction at PGA WEST, Artie was the Director of Golf at the prestigious LaGorce Country Club in Miami Beach. Jim and Artie have been friends for nearly 30 years. During his playing days he would often visit Jim for his council at Quaker Ridge Country Club or Sleepy Hollow Country Club in New York. His playing credentials and his teaching experience made Jim's selection of Artie as the Director of Instruction at PGA WEST a natural.

Carol De Marco - General Manager
Carol is General Manager of the Jim McLean Golf School at PGA WEST, La Quinta and The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa. We are pleased to have an individual with background experience in businesses development. As an entrepreneur of over 25 years, Carol possesses attributes that have made her a tremendous asset to the growth and organization of the Jim McLean Golf Schools.

When you have the opportunity to speak with her, you will recognize the passion Carol has for the game, as well as the business of golf.

She has been a year round local resident in the Palm Springs area since 1991, and has extensive knowledge of the golf courses and surrounding area. As an accomplished student of the game of golf, she can speak first handedly to you about what it is to be in a golf school and will be happy to assist in fitting you to the ideal curriculum to meet your playing levels and expectations.

Bryan Lebedevitch - Director of Golf Schools / Lead Master Instructor
Bryan has been with the Jim McLean Golf Schools since 1996. He began working for Jim at his Doral location and has since moved to La Quinta where he is in charge of instructor training.

  • Before coming to work for Jim McLean, Bryan worked at the prestigious Caves Valley Golf Club for Dennis Satyshur.
  • Acted as Jim McLean's personal assistant for a full year.

Jerry Mowlds - Lead Master Instructor
Jerry Mowlds is considered by many to have established one of the finest records in PGA history as a club professional-teacher-administrator. He has been recognized on numerous occasions for his continuing contributions to the game of golf.

A native of Great Falls, Montana, his family moved to Vancouver, Washington when he was a youngster. Mowlds grew up caddying for the members of Royal Oaks Country Club, learned the game and won the Oregon State Junior Championship in 1957. Mowlds turned pro in 1959, after two years of college at the University of Portland, working as an assistant at Royal Oaks. In 1964, Mowlds won the Oregon Open Championship and then embarked on a stint on the PGA Tour while as an assistant at the Riverside Golf and Country Club in Portland, Oregon. Over the next 25 years, he won the Oregon PGA Championship 4 times, and was runner-up 5 other years. He won the Section Championship at Sahalee in Seattle, played on 12 Hudson Cup teams, mostly while the Owner-Operator of the Vanco Golf Range in Vancouver, Washington and as the head Professional at Columbia-Edgewater Country Club in Portland.

In 1991, after 17 successful seasons at Columbia-Edgewater, Mowlds accepted the position as Director of Golf at the start up of Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club's 36 hole facility. Pumpkin Ridge has gone on to establish itself as one of the top golf clubs in the nation.

Jerry joined the team of instructors at the Jim McLean Golf School in 1996 and since then has split his time as Director of Instruction at Pumpkin Ridge during the summer season, and Lead Master Instructor at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California in the Winter and Spring seasons.

Mowlds was named at the 1984 PGA National Golf Professional of the Year and has been chosen twice as "Best in Oregon" by Golf Digest. Jerry is also recognized as one of Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers for several years.

As a senior professional, Mowlds has remained competitive, earning a spot on 6 Senior Hudson Cup teams and remaining to be a factor in section Senior events.

Carl Welty - Lead Master Instructor
Carl Welty is 64 years old, from San Diego, CA., and has been at PGA West since it's inception in 1997. Carl is a PGA Member, ranked as a Top 100 Teacher in the U.S. and former Head Golf Professional. Carl has had an extensive career in golf instruction with numerous accolades, playing an invaluable roll in the development of golf instruction for Jim McLean Golf Schools and many other organizations.

Carl grew up at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. He was president of San Diego Junior Golf 1957- 1958. Attended San Diego State University in 1958 -1962. Started the Washington State Junior Golf Association in 1972. Carl started the 1st golf school west of the Mississippi at the La Costa Resort & Spa in 1983, and held the position as the Director of Instruction at the La Costa Resort and Spa for 12 years. A consultant for Callaway Golf 1985 - 1996.

Carl and Jim McLean have worked closely together since 1969 as Jim's personal golf instructor. Carl is regarded as an expert on golf video research and was instrumental in the development of the Jim McLean Golf School philosophy of teaching.

Jason Jenkins - Lead Master Instructor
Jason is in his ninth year with the McLean schools, serving as the Director of Instruction at the Grand Traverse site and as a lead instructor for the PGA West location.  He has been on the nomination ballot for Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers for the 1999-2000, 2001-02, 2003-04 and 2004-2005 elections.  Jason also has had the privilege of working alongside six Top 100 Teachers during his tenure with Jim McLean. He is a graduate of the Penn State University where he received a degree in Kinesiology.  Jason uses his background in motor learning, motor development, exercise physiology and biomechanics to help students of every level.

Keith Dicciani - Lead Master Instructor
Keith has been with the Jim McLean Golf Schools since 1996. He started his teaching tenure alongside Jim and 6 top 100 teachers at the Doral location in Miami, FL. Originally from Philadelphia, Keith played golf at Temple University and continued his successful competitive play on the various mini-tours around the country where he has won several times. As a Class-A member of the PGA, Keith spent his summers as a Director of Instruction at the exclusive Muttontown Club in Long Island, NY. He has worked with many touring professionals over the years and his enthusiasm and knowledge of the game has made him a successful teacher for amateurs and professionals alike.

Rob Campbell - Master Instructor
Originally from Kings Park, NY, Rob has been with the Jim McLean Golf School since 2003. Prior to coming to the PGA West location Rob spent two years at Jim's Doral location in Miami, FL. When Rob is not teaching at PGA West he is the First Assistant at Atlantic GC in Bridgehampton, NY working for former Jim McLean Golf School instructor Rick Hartmann. Rob is a graduate of Stetson University where he was a four year member of their Division I golf team. Rob has also has worked at The Everglades Club in Palm Beach, FL and Indian Hills CC in Northport, NY.

Paula Patterson - Master Instructor
Paula was the 1st player ever to win an Oregon Amateur title and a State 4A high school title in the same year. She was University of Oregon's 1st team All-American, spent 2 1/2 years on the Futures Tour, and competed in the 1999 US Women's Open. She is a Master Instructor at PGA West. She spends the remainder of her time as a full time teaching professional at Portland Golf Club in Portland, Oregon. Paula is a member of the PGA and has her class B LPGA teaching status.

Kelley H. Moser - Master Instructor
Kelley is 56 years old, and is married to Glenda, his wife of 35 years. He has 2 sons, Kelly, Jr. age 29 and Joseph age 23.

  • Attended San Jose State University from 1968-1971 and was on the Varsity Golf Team for 3 years. All American Honorable Mention 1969.

Denny Gray - Director of Instruction
Denny started with Jim McLean in 1997 and is a graduate of Indiana University. He has been a teaching professional for fifteen years. Denny started his career as an assistant with former Louisiana State University Coach Mike Barbato. As the former Director of Instruction for Sea Bourne Cruise Lines, Denny has conducted over 100 corporate clinics around the world. A veteran of US mini tour competition, he coaches players of all skill levels. His unique and entertaining style makes him a highly sought after instructor. Denny is a resident of La Quinta and teaches there year round.

Bruce Furman - Lead Instructor
A graduate and former teammate of Jim's at the University of Houston, Bruce is the Former Head Golf Professional (13 years) at the prestigious Hollytree Country Club in Tyler, Texas. He has been selected as the North Texas Section Chapter Teacher of the Year twice during his tenure there. Bruce has taught at the famed Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Oregon for the past nine summer seasons and also teaches out of Langdon Farms in Aurora, Oregon. Bruce Teaches players of all levels and has a great clientele which includes many High School and College Golf Team members. In the summer of 2005, three of his High School students signed letters of intent to major college golf programs. Rebecca Kim (senior at Tigard High School) was highly recruited and signed a letter of intent to Duke University.

He has also worked with many talented players, (Brian Wilson - Nationwide Tour Player, Dustin Andres - top junior player in Oregon who won the State High School Individual Title as a freshman as well as many other prestigious tournaments). Each year Golf Digest devotes a monthly issue to America's Greatest Teachers. Bruce has been voted into this issue the last three years as one of the Best Teachers in the State of Oregon.

John Reilly - Master Instructor
Originally from Scotland, John attended the University of Glasgow and played high school golf for Fort Augustus Abbey School. John has been living in the U.S. since 1994 and served as a U.S. Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division.

John has been with the Jim McLean Golf School in La Quinta since 2003 and has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the games greatest teachers including Jim McLean, Carl Welty and Jerry Mowlds.

John's pragmatic teaching style and knowledge of the history of golf combine to make a relaxed and informative lesson for players of all ability levels.

Adam Harrell - Lead Master Instructor
Adam is from Roanoke, VA. He attended and graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Business Management. He was the former captain of the GMU golf team and the number one player in school history. Adam has worked at the Jim McLean Golf School since 1996 and was Jim's personal assistant for three years. Currently, Adam is a Lead Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Golf Academy at Weston Hills Country Club.

Randy Fluhrer - Lead Master Instructor
Randy is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a Class "A" member of the PGA. He is also a graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Methodist College. Randy has been in the golf business since graduating from college. Prior to coming to Florida, he spent three seasons teaching at Echo Lake Country Club in New Jersey and has had the opportunity to learn from many top instructors. Randy has been with the Jim McLean Golf Schools since 2001.

Tom Shaw - Lead Master Instructor
Tom brings to the Jim McLean School at Weston a spectacular professional and teaching resume. After attending the University of Oregon he joined the PGA tour in 1963, where he posted an impressive list of career accomplishments.

Ted Britschgi - Lead Master Instructor
Originally from Connecticut, Ted has learned the game from such greats as Sam Snead, Ted Kroll, and Doug Ford. Ted has successfully competed at the collegiate level; for the University of Connecticut and on the PGA Tour, Nike Tour and many mini tours. He has been an instructor for over 17 years and continues to learn new and better techniques to enhance his students' skills.

Donald Hepp Jr. - Master Instructor
Donald is originally from Middlefield, Connecticut. He graduated from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC with a degree in Professional Golf Management. During his time in Myrtle Beach, Donald was previously employed at World Tour Golf Links for four and a half years. Donald has been with the Jim McLean Golf Academy since 2003, and as an Assistant studied under Dr. Rob Neal and trained extensively with Golf Biodynamics. Currently, Donald is an apprentice in the PGA of America.

Amanda Brown - Master Instructor
Amanda is originally from Tampa, FL and is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She joined the Jim McLean Golf Schools in 2005, and enjoys learning and growing as an instructor every day.

Steven Rainstein - Master Instructor
Steven was born in Buffalo, NY, and started playing golf when he was 6 years old. He had natural talent and developed a passion for the game. After graduating with a degree in Professional Golf Management from The Pennsylvania State University, Steven decided to pursue a golf teaching career, and joined the Jim McLean team. He has been working at the Weston Hills facility since 2005, and has been promoted to Master Instructor . Steven has a great understanding of Jim's style of teaching and enjoys working with and sharing his knowledge with golfers of all levels. He is an enthusiastic instructor who prides himself on the improvement of his students.

Denny Swofford
Denny currently teaches at the new Jim McLean Golf School at the Wigwam Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to going to Arizona, Denny worked at the Jim McLean Golf School at PGA West in La Quinta, California during the winter season. Denny spends the summer season at the renowned Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Oregon, teaching alongside the great Jerry Mowlds. Before turning professional Denny accumulated six amateur victories in his native Pacific Northwest, where he also worked at Green Mountain G.C. and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.

Jason Carbone
Began working with Jim in 1998, and since then has worked his way to becoming one of the top instuctors in the country. He has been named the #1 instructor in Ohio by Golf Digest for the past 3 years, and was named as one of the top instructors in the Midwest by Golf Magazine. While working his way up to a Lead Master Instructor position with the Jim McLean Golf School, he would spend the summers serving as Director of Instruction at the top 3 facilities in Ohio - Inverness Club in Toledo and Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin. While at these facilities, Jason earned a reputation that allowed him to teach players of all levels including current PGA, LPGA, and Nationwide Tour players. He currently works with Chris Perry, Ryan Armour, and Emily Bastel. Other players he has been fortunate enough to help include Jack Nicklaus, Len Mattiace, Chris Smith, Cristie Kerr, and numerous others. Top amateurs have benefitted from Jason' s help, including the 2005 Ohio Amateur Champion and Western Amateur Runner-Up. An accomplished player himself, Jason played four years at Bowling Green State University, and continues to stay competitive on the PGA of America tournament circuit.

Jim McGurk - Master Instructor
Jim McGurk began working with Jim McLean in 1998, and since then has worked his way to becoming one of the top instructors in the Midwest. He has been named the #1 instructor in Ohio by Golf Digest Magazine, and currently is the top instructor in Ohio for Ohio 18 Golf Magazine.

While working his way up to the Master Instructor position with the Jim McLean Golf School, he spends his summers serving as Director of Instruction at Sylvania Country Club. While working at these facilities, Jim earned a reputation that allowed him to teach players of all levels including PGA, LPGA, and Nationwide Tour players. He currently works with PGA Tour winner Chris Smith, and Chris Wollman USGA Public links champion. Other players he has been fortunate enough to help include Jerry Kelly, Joe Durant, Cameron Beckman, and numerous others.

Top amateurs and club members have benefited from Jim's help. An accomplished player himself, Jim has competed on mini tours around the world and has several wins in the Northern Ohio PGA section. A Captain and four year player for the University of Toledo golf team, Jim is still currently active and competitive on the PGA of America Circuit.

Brian Schorsten
Originally from Canton, Ohio, Brian is now the Director of School Operations and a Master Instructor at the new Jim McLean Golf School at Waterchase in Fort Worth, Texas. Brian spent the last year working and training under Jim McLean as Jim's personal assistant. During this time Brian assisted Jim in every lesson, school, clinic, and speech. Brian gained unparalleled experience assisting Jim while he worked with all levels of golfers from tour players to beginners. Brian worked at Firestone Country Club in Akron Ohio, home of the World Golf Championships NEC Invitational, the last five years as well as Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples, Florida during the winter working with all levels of golfers. Brian played Division I golf at the University of Akron and now competes in local professional and PGA section events.

Ray Harrell
From Roanoke, VA. He was an accomplished junior player, leading his high school team to three Virginia State Golf Championships. Attended George Mason University where he played on the golf team, prior to graduating from Radford University with a degree in Business Management. He has worked at the Jim McLean Golf School since 2000. Ray served as our first assistant before being promoted to Jim's personal assistant in 2002, a position that he held for 1-1/2 years. He had the opportunity to assist Jim with such prominent players as Len Mattiace, Christie Kerr, Hal Sutton, Sergio Garcia, Erik Compton, James Vargas, and many more during his time as Jim's personal assistant. Not only that, but Ray was there with Jim for every school and private lesson he gave. Ray is currently in his third year of teaching.
