10 hours of Instruction. The Short School is in-depth short game instruction designed to lower your handicap. You will spend both days working on your entire wedge game, including lob, chip, pitch and bunker shots. We will also take a detailed look at your putting game: long, short and pressure putts. We are excited to offer this new school in conjunction with Jim McLean's newly released book "The 3 Scoring Clubs." This two day school is ideal for someone looking to dramatically lower their scores. You will achieve this by focusing on the three most important clubs in your bag: the driver, wedge and putter. Good scoring depends on your ability to drive the ball accurately, hit on target wedge shots, and possess a dependable putting game.

Becoming a Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Golf School is quite a challenge. All of our professionals have completed the rigorous JMGS Training Program. This formal training period can last up to two years. It includes an extensive written examination on the Jim McLean Teaching System, attendance at weekly training sessions, and assisting Master Instructors with schools and private lessons. Many of our professionals work at some of America's top private clubs during the summer. This school is for the aspiring junior golfer looking to improve his/her long game, short game and mental game with an emphasis on course management. Many of our juniors have competed successfully on the national level.
