Jim McLean - Philosophy

Teaching System Versus Teaching Method
Jim’s philosophy is that there is more than one way to play the game of golf and therefore, more than one way to teach it. By taking the time to understand the unique needs of each player, he has helped golfers of all levels understand and master the fundamentals and techniques of the world's greatest game.

An intense scholar of the game’s greatest player’s swings, Jim advocates a set of swing fundamentals and innovative practice drills, which work to instill those fundamentals. With characteristic clarity, innovation and expertise, Jim and his team of Master Instructors help you break down your swing into key positions so that you can build dependable results.

Highly personalized instruction sessions also include Jim's renowned practice tips and mental exercises to help you stay in the groove. In addition, strategies for the long game, short game, mental game, and management game are discussed. Jim calls these four parts of the game “The 25% Theory,” and this is the centerpiece of the Jim McLean schools - Total Game Inclusion.

In short, with Jim’s assistance, students can expect to develop a more consistent swing, a confident winning attitude, a more reliable short game and a better overall understanding of how to manage their game with success.
