David Glenz - Philosophy

In my teaching, I have avoided teaching a “method” but instead have developed a very simple and understandable framework to view the golf swing.

The framework involves the movement of the golf club, the structure and movement of the body, and the timing of these two actions. All instructors at the Academy use the same framework for all students.

In the actual lessons the points of emphasis will be individualized to the particular student. All lessons are video taped so that each student leaves with a clear understanding of the areas of emphasis and provided with daily drills to instill the feel. Regular check backs provide students with an ongoing learning experience. Although improvements varies from student to student depending on their commitment and work ethic, no student comes to mind who has not shown significant improvement under our guidance. It’s common for some of our students to cut their handicap in half in one year.

As our students learn a few simple movements done in proper sequence, they all learn to hit longer straighter golf shots. In a nutshell, it’s simplification rather than complication.
