Jane Blalock - Golf Programs
History
Created in 1991 by LPGA legend Jane Blalock, the LPGA Golf Clinics for Women were the first events of its kind targeted at professional women. Jane, winner of 29 LPGA tournaments and president of The Jane Blalock Company (JBC), formulated the concept to fill a void existing in the corporate entertainment and marketing realm. The series was created to achieve a dual purpose: to help professional women become more at ease with golf as a sport and as a business tool and to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
This "much-copied" formula has become the industry standard for programs aimed at enhancing women's skills on and off the golf course, and for corporate access to the influential women's consumer market. Clinic attendees reflect a strong demographic profile consisting of corporate officers, owners, partners or managers of their respective companies. In addition, women represent the fastest growing segment in the "red-hot" golf market.
The characteristic that distinguishes The LPGA Golf Clinics for Women from its competitors is its association with the LPGA. With its long history of excellence and innovative teaching concepts, the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division features the best instructors golf has to offer. Consequently, each clinic features the newest and most effective teaching principles under the direction of the best instructors in the region.
Clinic Overview
The Clinics are suited for golfers of all skill levels. Each attendee will be matched with players of similar ability to make the learning experience both comfortable and challenging.
- Personalized instruction, including full swing, putting, and short game
- On-course playing lesson
- Breakfast, luncheon and networking reception
- Complimentary gift bag
- Exhibition by an LPGA touring professional
- Personal Assessment from your teaching professional
Advanced and Intermediate Golfers grouped by skill level, will play on the course with their instructor. Each foursome can expect to play unsupervised for 1½ hours and to receive 1½ hour of on-course instruction from their teaching pro. Among the points covered will be bunker play, approach shots and other situational play.
New Golfers will rotate through three instructional stations: full swing, chipping and putting. Participants will proceed to the instructional stations where a maximum of two foursomes will be grouped with each teaching professional. Golf fundamentals, as well as individual needs, will be addressed at each station. Following instruction, all participants will enjoy an exhibition by an LPGA Tour Player on the driving range. This will be your opportunity to see up close how the pros do it.
Advanced and Intermediate Golfers will start the session with an exhibition on the driving range by an LPGA Tour Player. From here they will rotate through the three instructional stations: full swing, chipping and putting. Each participant will receive tips from their teaching professional based on their play from the morning on-course session.
New Golfers will be on the course as a group with their instructors. The instructor will stay with the group through the entire afternoon session covering basics on golf etiquette and on-course play.
